Rabid-Media rates this game: 5/5Ok, I'm sick of everyone saying that Mario 2 is a "rip off" of this game!
Yes, this one came first, but it was made By Nintendo first, also, meaning If Miyamoto wants to distribute it and replace the characters with some more recognizable faces, then I say, Go ahead!
The gameplay is the same as Mario 2 (duh...), since it's on a japanese system, the sounds and music are a bit different. also, the Run button does not apply here.
To see this game for what it is, you must pretend like mario 2 Never EXISTED... it's 1987, and you live in japan...
"ooh... a new disk? this could be cool!" -opens, plays- "...neat!" The fact is, the gameplay and graphics are good, the levels are variable and interesting, and they get progressivly tougher as they go.

2BKurupt rates this game: 4/5This game is an absolute beauty. This is were Nintendo of America copied its idea of "Super Mario bros 2".
This is THE original. The Mario 2 that we know of, is a rip-off of this classic Japanese game. Doki Doki Panic is actually a collaboration of Nintendo of Japan and Fuji Television. Fuji wanted a game that followed their festival and Nintendo accepted. Most people believe Doki doki Panic was a rip-off even tho it was not.
